Know yourself
Day 24
Another long day, with no sleep from yesterday's exchange today certainly could not have been anymore appropriate to fit the tempo for this week. Little sleep last night with tennis and work, class at 8am this morning and here we are back for another late night. My psychology exam opened up at around noon today and I have until Sunday at that same time, we're given 48 hours to complete it. I gotta be honest, I haven't started studying for it lol. Not only have I not studied, I haven't been to that class in a while, I went this Tuesday only to be met with the same boring routine. You guys will get more of my opinion and thoughts on school on the next upload which I was hoping to release today but time ran out as I was editing. Thankfully it's almost complete however, and I will hopefully be able to upload it tomorrow morning or sometime Sunday.
As for tomorrow, Cars & Coffee is at 8am so considering I'm still up not it'll for sure be another long day. Of course things got hectic at work today so most of the stuff I should've done today I'll get to do during my shift tomorrow.
But that's all okay, even the test. Really! I'm not worried, I'll still pass it just watch, I'll let you guys know how it goes.
What I meant by the title for this post is just remember your values and morals. When you make your decisions for you and not for others life will be so much better. As I mentioned in a video currently on the channel, people can motivate you or they can crush your dreams. They can also try to take advantage of you to better themselves and they'll even not give a care while they're doing it. As much as I and many other influencers will preach being social and trying to connect & connect & connect you just have to remember that not everyone is good. Not everyone is even giving an attempt to make good or wise choices. People will steal, hurt, and try to put you down and honestly have no remorse my friend.
I'm finally getting to this book my friend is letting me borrow, "How I Raised Myself From Failure to Success in Selling" by Frank Bettger. I have a good feeling about this book after only the preface and first few pages. I'll keep you guys updated but I added this to make note that I for sure am continuing to better myself. The grind never stops. I once heard in a motivational video from YouTube as my more regular readers will know I watch these videos almost daily, I learned that there are several ways in which people learn.
Anyways, I like to assume that all people have good intentions and take others into consideration when making choices but you have to realize that this is not always the case. You have to; especially here in 2017. This doesn't mean that we should be afraid or that we have to have cold or dark confrontations when going out in the world, rather we should be working to correct this. Don't worry about those who aren't making choices as they should, but you definitely shouldn't allow these people to bring you down. I fall victim all too often, mostly with my job, of basically doing more giving than receiving. And while I'm sure most including myself would agree that we should not act with the expectancy of some benefit, reward, or appraisal, you absolutely should not allow people to take advantage of you. I am so tired of having these people in my life that have no emotion. No emotion or true gratitude/appreciation for the work or behaviors of good people only to have negative emotions with demands in return.
Sorry for the rant guys, I actually have heard similar ideas in one of those motivational videos by Tyrese Gibson that I've mentioned before and I too am just sick and tired of it. I don't have enough care, there isn't enough care in the world, to do anything but to help good people realize just how wrong this stuff is and to then help to motivate these good people to continue doing what they do while also providing whatever I can in terms of resources or knowledge to help you get to do whatever it is that you want to do in life.
That awesome run on sentence there basically describes me and what I want to do in life. That's what my YouTube channel will be featuring and that's what my brand Keep It Simple will provide.
